What can beat a UK Summer? Birdsong, beer gardens, Al Fresco Dining. Looking at the weather today – snow, ice and rain – I cannot wait. I have also made a mental note to book abroad for some Winter Sun next year! Who wouldn’t like a bit more money in the bank to go somewhere exotic when we really need it?

Which hosted some inspirational speakers. Samantha Kinghorn MBE, the Double Paralympic Medallist was hugely inspiring in how she has adapted to life changing injuries.

January is always a quiet start to the year, all autumn planting is done, and cover crops are well established. The cover crops provide our maize ground (which will be planted in the spring) with ground cover to reduce erosion and help protect our soils, whilst also adding and locking up nutrients at the same time.
